The One Night Stand at The Ole Miss Motel 2014 Line Up

It's so exciting, to me, each year when I can announce the artists for the One Night Stand at the Ole Miss Motel. If you aren't familiar with the show, I rent out rooms at The Ole Miss Motel, and for one night only, eleven artists transform one room each into a mini gallery for one evening. A one night stand if you will.

Started in 2007, this show has never disappointed, with around 1200 visitors to the show in the three hour span that it lasts. All the artists are also selling their work, so it a great time to support an artist and buy some early Christmas gifts.

This year's show is October 25th, 2014 at 1517 University Ave. Oxford, Mississippi, from 7:00PM -10:00PM.

There is no charge to attend the show.

The line up for this year's show is:

Amy C. Evans - Houston, TX

Kate Roebuck - Chattanooga, TN

Britt Bass Turner - Atlanta, GA

Chad Mars - Jackson, MS

Pati D'Amico and Bill Warren - Water Valley, MS

Adrienne Brown-David  - Oxford, MS

Lamar Sorrento - Memphis, TN

Jonathan Kent Adams - Oxford, MS

Lauren Banquer - Oxford, MS

Harry Underwood - Nashville, TN

Bradley Gordon - Oxford, MS

*Parking for the show is always a little tricky. We suggest parking in the city lot behind the Powerhouse and walking down to the motel. Or in the lot across from the motel, on University. Carpooling is a great way to arrive as well.

See you there!

Sneak Peek

I've been trying to decide what to call my line of bags, that I designed for the shop. What do you think? Erin Austen Abbott for Amelia? Or simply just Amelia? I'm open to suggestions.

There are five in the collection, but here is a sneak peek at the one bag in the line for kids. I love how classic it is and Tom Otis loves that he has a new place to stash toys.

So mint

I'm so inspired by mint and white together. When I opened the shop five years, I knew that I wanted mint and white stripes in both my logo and on the walls of the shop. I haven't felt the need to change it since. Here are a few items found around the shop and an amazing vintage jeep that pulled up in front of the shop today.

For the business cards, I had them printed through and the striped bags that I use are vintage candy shop bags. Old dead stock.
