I love pie, but I've never been one for a whole slice. I love this apple pie recipe because it's just little bite size pies and you could make it with any filling really. I partnered with Whole Foods to bring you my version of quick and easy apple pie.
What you will need:
2 Honey Crisp Apples
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 TBS. Cinnamon
A dash of Nutmeg
Pre-packaged Shortbread Tartlet Shells
Stir all together and let rest for about 20 minutes. Then transfer to a small pot and stir for about 6-12 mins on medium heat. Add 1 TBS. of water and 2 TBS. of butter (or butter substitute) to the pot and stir. This will allow the apples to cook a little and melt all the sugar.
Allow mixture to cool completely, about 30 mins., then transfer apple mixture to each tartlet.
Top with whipped cream or ice cream and serve.
Store in the fridge for about 2 days in an airtight container.
